EDL Recording saves the time and effort involved in “rebuilding” the edit decision list before post production can start, thus allowing the editors time to focus on more creative work.  

Post production can be further enhanced when the EDL-REC marker keypads are used during the shoot to identify specific events for editing – such as show start / stops, production errors, applause, re-takes, etc. Using these markers the editor can instantly find these shots.
